Lovingly restored with deep respect for its history, this authentic rustic venue is rich with character, where stories linger in every Rimu beam and original timber floorboard worn smooth by decades of use.

Perfect for couples seeking something meaningful and unhurried, the woolshed offers a breathtaking setting for wedding ceremonies and celebrations alike. From intimate vows to joyful receptions, the space adapts effortlessly, blending vintage soul with modern comfort. High timber trusses, warm natural textures, and sweeping rural surrounds create an atmosphere that feels timeless, romantic, and deeply welcoming.

A Country Wedding Weekend to Remember

Your wedding isn’t just a single day. It’s a weekend to celebrate with the people you love.

From 12:00 pm on Friday, you’ll have exclusive access to the venue, giving you plenty of time to settle in, decorate, rehearse and enjoy the excitement leading up to your special day. There’s no need to rush. Take your time creating the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.

The bridal party can relax and prepare in the comfort of the Hiwi Farm Homestay, included for two nights (Friday and Saturday). Sleeping up to eight guests, the homestay provides the perfect place to spend quality time together before and after the wedding.

While the bridal party gets ready in the homestay, the groom and his groomsmen have their own dedicated space. Two bedrooms and a separate bathroom in our family home are available on the wedding day, giving the groom and his groomsmen a private place to relax and prepare before the ceremony. On Friday evening, the Hunting Hut provides the perfect place for the boys to enjoy their final night together before the celebrations begin.

On your wedding day, you can choose from several beautiful ceremony locations across the property. Exchange your vows on the lawn in front of the main house, beside the rustic Shearer’s Wool Shed, or inside the beautifully restored Shearer’s Wool Shed if the weather isn’t on your side. Whatever the forecast, you’ll have the reassurance of a beautiful ceremony setting.

The reception takes place in our character filled Shearer’s Wool Shed, complete with modern flushing toilet facilities and a country kitchen set up for adding the final touches to your food before serving. As this is not a commercial kitchen, it is not suitable for preparing food on site. The Shearer’s Wool Shed offers plenty of space for dining, dancing and celebrating with family and friends.

After a wonderful evening of celebrating, there’s no need to rush away the following morning. We offer a late Sunday checkout, giving you plenty of time to enjoy breakfast with family, pack up your decorations and belongings, and clean the venue after your celebration before heading home with memories that will last a lifetime.
